Dr. Tiballi ...

is a lifelong Republican as well as a trained pediatrician, internist and infectious diseases specialist and completed his training at the University of Michigan.  He has achieved board certification in all three specialties.  He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters.  In April 2015 he received an MBA in general management from the prestigious University of Michigan, one of the top 5 ranked business schools in the nation.  As an undergraduate at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, he studied chemistry, theology and biology, graduating summa cum laude and was admitted to several national academic honor societies. Prior to that he received an associates degree in air conditioning technology and worked in a plumbing, heating and electrical supply house for many years before losing his job and struggling with unemployment for a year during the Carter administration.

In 1996 he founded GERMBUSTERS, an Infectious Diseases group which serves the medical needs of the far northwest suburbs including Kane, Cook, Lake, & McHenry counties.  He administers this group whose employees outnumber and budget far exceeds that of the office of Kane County Coroner.  He chairs infection control committees at multiple hospitals and has served in medical staff leadership as chairman of department of medicine, medical executive committee and where he was elected by his peers.  He served on the board of the Ecker Center for Mental Health in Elgin.  He served on the Aurora Regional Child Death Review Team.  He is founding board chairman of the "National Shrine of the Innocents", a memorial dedicated to children who have lost their lives in their age of innocence.

In completing his two year MBA classwork, Dr. Tiballi traveled to Ann Arbor, MI several weekends a month to attend classes while continuing to work full time in his position as a physician.

Dr. Tiballi has no financial or other ownership or consulting interest in any entity serving the needs of the deceased such as a funeral home or crematory.

Dr. Tiballi resides in Elgin where he has served as Republican precinct committeeman for many years.  He is the proud father of a wonderful daughter Francesca who is now in college.  He is recently married to Tamaki Tiballi who left a career as a university professor and clinician in Japan to join Dr. Bob in marriage.  Tamaki has recently published a book as an outgrowth of her career in developmental psychology which serves as an aid to mothers regarding their child's development.

Dr. Tiballi is a lifelong Republican and is staunchly pro-life at every phase of the human experience from conception to natural death.  Dr. Bob is a fiscal conservative and works behind the same $50 used office desk he purchased in 1996.

Dr. Tiballi will be entering a semi retirement from his medical practice in 2016 and plans on devoting himself to the priority of serving as the Kane County Coroner.

Dr. Tiballi needs no "on the job training" and is ready on day one to be the finest coroner that Kane County has ever had.
